Jenn Owen, BASI Faculty

10+ years of experience

As a Basi Faculty member, Jenn facilitates teacher trainings throughout North America, mentors apprentice faculty, coaches student instructors, and works with clients here in El Dorado Hills. In addition to over 10 years of Pilates teaching experience, she has a degree in Kinesiology, a certificate in Pilates for Injuries and Pathologies, and continues to attend workshops such as Power of Aging led by BASI founder Rael Isacowitz.

Through her employment as a Hospital Rehabilitation Technician and her experience in rehab for her own injuries, Jenn discovered her heart lies with injury prevention and helping clients achieve their goals through the power of Pilates. In her free time, Jenn enjoys aerial arts, lattes, and cuddling with her two cats.

Kellie Purcell, Apprentice

Kellie is a 46 year-old mother of two energetic children (ages 5 and 11), CSUS graduate, & Pilates enthusiast. Upon enduring several orthopedic surgeries she knew she had to change up her fitness routine. After doing Pilates a couple times a week she noticed increased strength without joint pain. Kellie’s passion for Pilates recently led her to BASI. She completed the BASI Pilates teacher training program & is looking forward to helping others gain balance, strength, & flexibility with very little impact to the joints.
